Die Römer gaben dem heutigen Schwarzwald den Namen „Silva Nigra“ und trauten sich vor lauter Angst und Schrecken nicht hinein in das unzugängliche Gelände, von dichtem, dunklem Urwald bedeckt und wilden Tieren bevölkert. Die Kronen ließen kein Licht hinein, es war finster und unheimlich im Wald. Der Schwarzwald ist eine archetypische deutsche Landschaft und gleichermaßen der bekannteste deutsche Wald – la Forêt-Noire, the Black Forest.

Fotograf*innen haben einen ungewöhnlichen Arbeitsalltag. Da gibt es einerseits die Tage, an denen produziert und fotografiert wird, an denen eine Auftragsproduktion realisiert und Kundschaft glücklich gemacht wird.
