Some people live for the thrill and we can’t thank them enough for it. Especially when that thrill happens to be jumping out of a plane in order to take a few hot captures.
When you live a high-octane life like adventurer photographer Jesper Gronnemark, a skydiving, mid-air photoshoot may not seem like that big of a deal.
To the rest of the world, however, it is newsworthy. Virally so, in fact.
While free falling at a speed of 125 miles per hour, Gronnemark held a full session with studio equipment and flashes falling alongside.

Using a Profoto B1X Flash and a Sony a7R II, Gronnemark wanted everything to be just like it was on the ground, only free falling at the speed of cruising F1 driver and in mid-air. Nothing special, just another day in the life of an adventurer photographer.
Of course, Gronnemark was not alone in his quest to conduct a mid-air photo shoot – he had a team of experienced skydivers to help him along the way.

Team Flux had originally intended on parachuting with the shoots open but determined wind speed would make this a dangerous proposition. Once the skydivers had the flash and camera in place, the model met them mid-air to begin the photoshoot.
His desired shot, of a skydiver falling head first towards the Earth, was achieved with an amazing capture of the sun silhouetting it all. Luckily for us, the team managed to film the entire jump, all so we could watch in awe as their bravery and artistry unfold.
