Lumenzia V6 Photo Software Released with Tons of New Stuff

New stuff is always good news. When it comes to software, however, this can often be a mixed bag – some updates will enrage you, others will thrill you, it’s all a bit of an emotional roller coaster.

But it’s fun to be excited about new things, too, and that’s especially the situation when you might have something new to add to your arsenal in photo editing software.

In the case of Lumenzia’s latest release, V6, there are a lot of new features for photographers and digital image editors to be excited about with this update.

Lumenzia, one of the most popular luminosity masking tools on the market, is also quite complicated for beginners, something the software team addressed with the latest update.

Packed with new tutorials and a helpful “?” feature, Lumenzia V6 hopes to make itself more accessible and less opaque than in previous releases in a bid to broaden its appeal. That doesn’t mean that it has sacrificed on scope of features or depth thereof; quite the opposite, actually.

In fact, the team behind Lumenzia V6 boasts that the new software has 130 new features among which are improved masking and sharpening tools that “can create high-pass sharpening as a smart object” according to FStoppers. There is also a feature called PreBlend that allows users to “add new layers to an existing blend.”

For $USD 39.99 Lumenzia includes access to a user forum as well as private support. In addition Lumenzia offers some free tutorials and quick-start guides to introduce you to the art of using luminosity masking tools. The Lumenzia Basics Panel, included with the software, gives editors quick access to the most popular software features for improved workflow and ease of use. All in all, quite an impressive update.

The lens in focus

“Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” — Unknown
