Instagram just made a huge change that should make life easier for social media mavens around the world.
You can now post your selfies and videos to multiple accounts simultaneously instead of having to log out of each one and posting it manually to each individual account.
DPReview reports that the option to post to multiple accounts pops up when you are prompted to add the caption, geotag the pic, or add hashtags to it.
For their part, DPReview reports seeing the change first appear on January 13. This prompted an inquiry from the publication to Instagram about whether or not this was a permanent change.
As many of you might know, Instagram often tests out new features on its audience before rolling them out on a large scale – if at all.
Easily one of the more requested features, the ability to post to multiple Instagram accounts from one device really optimizes the process of social media management for a lot of us out there that juggle multiple accounts.
Not only does this save time, but also it means that you can make more accounts without worrying about logging in and out of each one in order to post a simple update. It’s a real boon for companies, basically, but individual as well. No need to reapply filters, add the caption, then tag the heck out of it multiple times. With this change, you can literally produce industrial quantities of selfies and food porn in theory. What a time to be alive.
DPReview reports that this update only seems to be available for iOS devices at the moment. TechCrunch confirmed with Instagram that this is a feature the company is rolling out on a larger, more permanent basis so be on the lookout for this in the future.
Do you use Instagram? Do you own multiple accounts? What do you think of this change? Let us know in the comments.
