A Huge Leap Forward in Anti-Baby Pic Spam: This Browser Extension Lets You Block Baby Pictures on Facebook

Some people are just naturally more cynical than others.

And some people just really don’t like seeing an endless stream of baby pictures on their Facebook feed.

Look, we all understand that parents are proud, but no one cares about picture 4000 posted this week alone.

Still, it is pretty awful to rain on someone’s parade – and it is even worse to tell them to stop posting pictures of their baby on social media.

So what can you do if you don’t want to see baby pictures clogging up your feed?

This browser extension is the answer to all of your problems: Baby Blocker, as the name implies, is a total solution for getting rid of baby pic spam on Facebook.

Just install it on your browser and go from there.

Interestingly, this extension comes to you courtesy of condom company Skyn.

While the promotional angle for them isn’t hard to spot, you have to wonder what the central message is. According to the company, parents share, on average, 1,500 photos of their child between birth and the age of five.

For those of you that like math, that averages out to almost one picture every single day of the child’s life between 0 and 5 years of age.

That number does help put things into perspective, and also helps explain Skyn’s marketing of the extension as “social media contraceptive.” Further, Skyn promises that the extension will “[give] you more browsing pleasure, and a 99.9% certainty you’ll stay kid-free.”

If you’d like to check out the extension, you can do that by clicking here.

You can also watch this informative video on YouTube about it.

As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Is your Facebook feed filled with baby pictures? How do you feel about that? Let us know in the comments section below.

“Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” — Unknown
