We brought you word of rumors of a new “X-T4” announcement coming from Fuji in February with a street date for the camera the following month.
Now, not letting the PR fires die down one bit, Fuji is bringing us a concrete announcement of a replacement for their X-T100, the cleverly named X-T200.
Aimed at “content creators of all levels,” the new X-T200 will also have an affordable 35mm f/2 lens coming as well.
In terms of where the product sits among Fuji’s lineup, the X-T200 is right above the entry-level X-A and just below the X-T30.
As for the image sensor, the new camera will use a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS which promises enhanced autofocus capabilities as well as 3.5 times faster data processing.
This allows for 8fps burst mode or 4K/30p and 1080/120p in video, PetaPixel reports. It also features an articulating LCD touchscreen that the company is marketing towards vloggers and other social media creators.
Weighing 370g, the new X-T200 is lighter than the X-T100 while giving consumers more features.
You’ll also have the choice between three colors: Silver, dark silver, and champagne.
And, best of all, is that you won’t have to wait long if this camera sounds like your kind of thing.
Releasing at the end of February 2019, the new X-T200 will set you back either $USD 700 for the unit alone or $USD 800 for the kit with the XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS power zoom lens.
What do you think?
Does the new X-T200 sound like something you’d like to add to your collection?
