Photo Of The Week – June 01st, 2020

There is something extraordinary about this picture to me.
It combines order and chaos in such a unique way. It kept asking myself, “Is this a silhouette, a shadow, or something that is shadowed? In the end, I concluded that it is a little of all those three elements.
The use of shape and pattern is exquisite, and I also believe that black and white the correct medium for this. No vibrant color to get in the way of all that intimate detail.
Congratulations to Andre P. @andre-p for his outstanding nature shot.

What You Shouldn't Be Missing From The Light Stalking Community
Jim shared a hilarious shot! I'm still not sure what's going on here, so clarifications are more than welcome!
Patrick captured a mysterious stalker in his yard.
Tobie captured a white-bellied bird which is quite common in South Africa, but for some of us it is quite a visual delight.
Oh, and Rob shared this truly dramatic shot! I love the massive rain at the furthermost point on the frame. But it wouldn't be as impressive as it is if it wasn't for the person on the bridge.
And let's welcome our newest members!

Many of our members have nurtured their own photographic knowledge by giving out elaborate critiques that go way beyond simple emoji based reactions or “nice shot” comments. Here are some of the most interesting shots shared during the last week:
