New Fuji Camera Coming October 16 According to FCC Certification Document

The COVID-19 pandemic has not stopped camera manufacturers from releasing new models this year.

Photo of X-E3 from Fujifilm.

And, come this October, Fuji will be adding something new and intriguing to its lineup, if rumors are to be believed.

While Fuji Rumors is certain this is not an X-Pro4, there are some Internet denizens that think this could be a X-E4. That would be interesting from multiple standpoints. We’ll tell you why after we let you know what we know.

Here’s what we’ve got from Fuji Rumors:

“Fujifilm’s digital camera “FF200001” has passed FCC certification. Equipped with Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth (same RF module as X-Pro3 model number [WM-BN-BM-26 _A_ FF3 ])

[The] designated date for public disclosure of the certified material is October 16, 2020.

This is a list of model numbers of Fujifilm wireless parts, which is not very helpful

WM-BN-BM-26_A: X-E3
WM-BN-BM-26 _A_ FF2: X-H1/GFX50R
WM-BN-BM-26 _A_ FF3: X-Pro3/X-T3/X-T30
WM-BN-BM-26 _A_ FF4: X100V
WM-BN-BM-26 _A_ FF5: X-T4
WM-BAC-BM-25: GFX100
TYPE1FJ: X-A7/X-T200”

If the new camera announced was an X-E4 that would be interesting from the standpoint of the rumors swirling about earlier this year that the entire XE line was going to be canceled. Then there were rumors about a new XE camera announcement before the end of 2020. So who knows what is going to happen.

What we do know is that these rumors about a new product of some kind tend to be correct and, sooner or later, we’ll figure out the name – probably some time before the official reveal date on October 16.

“Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” — Unknown
