Samsung Porting Some Galaxy S21 Features to Older Models

The latest Samsung Galaxy S21 has some pretty impressive features.

We’re not going to go into that here, but you can read our article about that we published a few weeks back at this link.

What we are here to discuss is some pretty good news for people that have held off on plopping down money for the latest model and that is Samsung’s plan to port some of the latest Galaxy features to some of its older phones.

Samsung will be bringing the One UI OS to the Galaxy S20, Note 20, Z Fold 2, and Z Flip, PetaPixel reports.

Enhanced Single Take and Multi Mic Recording are two such features coming to older models. The first lets you capture videos and photographs simultaneously with the phone’s cameras and the second allows for capturing audio via the smartphone’s mike as well as a Bluetooth device.

The Samsung Gallery app will be getting the vaunted, AI-powered Object Eraser feature that removes unwanted elements from your photo. The update will also include the UI-focused update, Eye Comfort Shield, that makes sure your phone puts out less blue light. Last, Samsung will make its private share feature available that puts a timer on shared content.

Do you own a Galaxy S21 or do you plan on getting one? If you own an older model, does this make you want to hold off on upgrading? Let us know your thoughts on the Galaxy S21 and its features in the comments below.

The One UI 3.1 update is available now in many markets.

Again, if you missed our first article on the Galaxy S21, be sure to check it out here.

“Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” — Unknown
