Disposable cameras were an entry-point for many photographers but, as with many things related to film, they’ve largely gone the way of the dinosaurs.
But, as we have talked about here on multiple occasions, retro revivals are always attempting to monetize mass nostalgia and it seems like a new subscription service is aiming at just that market.
If you would like to relive the glory days of disposable cameras then Snap-It looks like it is there to keep the good times:
“If you purchase our Snap-It Disposable Camera Subscription get ready to take some amazing photos as we are going to send you a brand new camera every 30 days! Yes that's right, a new camera every 30 days so you'll never have to worry about running out of film again! Our Snap-It Disposable Camera Subscription is game changing as it is the most affordable way to take authentic disposable camera photos! Unlike our other subscription this model does not include developing of your camera, but fear not! It can be easily developed at any local CVS, Walgreens, or Film Lab!”
You can check out the subscription service at this link right here.
This sort of reminds us of Yashica's Kickstarter from a few years ago that attempted a similar cash-in on nostalgia.
