Else Ernestine Neuländer wurde 1900 in Berlin geboren und gründete bereits im Alter von 25 Jahren ihr eigenes Fotoatelier. In den goldenen 1920er Jahren avancierte sie schnell zu einer gefragten Mode- und Portraitfotografin. Ihr Leben und damit auch ihre vielversprechende Karriere wurden von den Nazis beendet.
