Der österreichische Fotochemiker Josef Maria Eder ist vor allem für seine frühen Röntgenfotografien bekannt. Neben diesen besonders ästhetischen Aufnahmen lieferte er diverse weitere wissenschaftliche Beiträge zur Fotografie und fasste den fotografischen Kenntnisstand seiner Zeit akribisch in zahlreichen Veröffentlichungen zusammen.
