Cloud Movement And Colorful Scenes From Nature – Don’t Miss Our Latest Update

Week after week, we state that “photography has the power of lightening up our daily lives”; and what a wonderful way of kick-starting our frantic routines by diving into some beautiful images in the comfort of our seats!

Here is our weekly wrap-up – you'll find finely curated photos from the general chit-chat blended with some creative shots from Tersha's 646th challenge on capturing cloud movements! And as you might have guessed by now, some worth-seeing shots from the Feedback Forum as well!

This time POTW goes to @patography and her gorgeous sky shot.
I find this image totally mesmerizing in terms of colors and composition, and it’s one of my all-time favorite shots I’ve seen here on Ls.
Congrats, Pat!

What Are Our Members Up To?

Pour some coffee or tea and enjoy our cherry-picked shots this week!

Long exposures enable our human – and therefore limited – vision to see our natural world in an expanded way.

Now that's some speedy clouds! “Kissin’ Cousins, Long Exposure Late Evening Shot from Castle Gardens”.

Vibrant and psychedelic! An amazing capture of color!

And speaking of capturing color, let's not forget to rely on artificial light sources for capturing this beautiful phenomenon as well.

Just like light waves, water can also be captured in an altered state. Here, a large body of water turns itself into a glassy surface, acting as a mirror under the sky.

We know for sure that clouds are always on the move. Hence, the mere presence of these beautiful bodies in the sky implies movement of some sort. Here, this massive rain-cloud moves like a huge flying cargo ship.

“No clouds here in the last four days, so this one from the archive and tweaked to add cloud movement.”

“Had to dip into archives for this one – either no clouds or total cloud cover here.”

What You Shouldn't Be Missing from the Light Stalking Community

Patrick had some fun last week, which isn't something he does enough, and shared this beautiful design of what we consider could be a good cover for a mystery book:

Beth reminded us about the existence of MC Hammer and his famous hammer time! She also made a great joke.

Steve shared a gorgeous spring scene:

And David had been planning this shot for a little while, but just recently heI finally made the time to give it a go. These are composites of two images, both taken by him, and diffraction spikes were added in PP. Happy to hear your thoughts.

The Mobile Monday Challenge is open for sharing some shots! And if you want to see more shots, take a look at the Members Picks, a place where our community shares their favorite photographs from our forums every week.

We'd Love To Hear Your Thoughts

Also, our Feedback Forum got some nice pictures, and it is clear that some of you have started building a solid photography style. This is the right place for all those people that want to grow fast as photographers.

Here, you'll get your work critiqued by plenty of well-intended people, but you'll also have the chance of critiquing your peers. We truly believe in the power of criticism and feedback. Here are some of the most interesting shots shared during the last week:

The Shark Tank is a great place to learn and discuss, so please read the instructions in order to get a better critique experience. Share your comments, opinions, and doubts on any or all of the images above. We also will be delighted to see some of your own images. Don't be shy, critiques are given to photographs and not photographers.

Also, don't forget to participate in our 647th challenge!

The lens in focus

“Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” — Unknown
