B&H Photo Brings the Inaugural Bild Expo to New York City This September

Trade shows and big industry events are going the way of the dinosaurs it seems.

Across fields, it seems like these big shows are rapidly becoming things of the past but B&H Photo wants to change that.

And where better to do just that than New York City itself?

Introducing the Bild Expo, B&H Photo’s inaugural trade expo in NYC to be held this September 6 through 7 and created to fill a growing void where tradeshows are concerned.

Some of the speakers on tap include YouTube creator Casey Neistat, Art Wolfe, and Kesha Lambert, among others.

Scheduled to take place at The Javits Center, the event counts major industry names such as Sony, Canon, and Nikon among its sponsors. It is also a free event for registered attendees.

“B&H is proud to present the inaugural Bild Expo, a special, new event celebrating photo, video, and audio creativity. Bild, the Yiddish word for ‘image,’ represents B&H’s 50-year commitment to supporting visual and auditory artistry. Bild will inspire you with expert speakers, educational experiences, a world-class brand expo, contests, and lots of inspiration to help you grow your creativity.”

B&H Photo, for those of you not familiar with the name, is one of the biggest names in photography equipment and gear and maintains a huge store in the New York City area as well as an online shop.

Any thoughts you might have on expos are welcome in the comments. Are they passe or will we see a resurgence in events?

The lens in focus

“Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” — Unknown
