Here is your weekly wrap-up from Light Stalking – you'll find some nicely curated stuff from the general chit chat as well as some amazing shots from Tersha's latest challenge on High-Key! And as you've already guessed by now, we'll be mentioning some worth-seeing shots from the feedback forum as well!
Photo Of The Week – July 6th, 2020

The Guest Judge for this week was Jasenka Grujin. Here is what she had to say:
I admire the technical perfection of this image. It’s tack sharp, the colors are as vibrant as it gets without going overboard and the textured white background which seamlessly fades away is aesthetically pleasing. The image would be less appealing if the background were plain and smooth – the texture gives it a special touch.
The subject itself is extremely beautiful – I can’t take my eyes off this amazing flower.
I also think this unusual crop works really great – it’s neither too loose nor too tight, it embraces the subject perfectly.
To sum it up, this image is a truly superb example of a high-key flower photograph.
Congratulations to Laura G @laurag for her win on the POTW,

What You Shouldn't Be Missing from the Light Stalking Community
Anne shared a shot of her annual weeding and planting in the veggie garden with us earlier this week.

Beaky shared a bit about the importance of lens calibration with us.

David, the master of light, shared another batch of incredibly looking high speed shots. My favourite is this one:

Rob Eyers discussed about focus stacking while shooting with macro lenses. Very interesting and highly meticulous too.

Patrick shared this beautiful storytelling collage.

Erik travelled to Venice, and you'll love his photos! Click here for more.

Daniel asked something about Lightroom that got quickly answered by 3pco.
And last but not least, Rob is considering an idea, and we'll like to listen to your thoughts about it.

We'd Love To Hear Your Thoughts
Also, our Feedback Forum received some nice photographs, and is clear that some of you have started building a solid photography style. This is the right place for all those people that want to grow fast as photographers. This is possible thanks to valuable and positive feedback, which is perhaps the best way in which someone can hack the learning curve in photography.
Here you'll get your work critiqued by plenty of well-intended people, but you'll also have a chance to critique your peers. We truly believe in the power of criticism and feedback.
Many of our members have nurtured their own photographic knowledge by giving out elaborate critiques that go way beyond simple emoji based reactions or “nice shot” comments. Here are some of the most interesting shots shared during the last week:
The Shark Tank is a great place to learn and to discuss, so please read the instructions in order to get a better critique experience. Share your comments, opinions and doubts on any or all of the images above. We also will be delighted to see some of your own images. Don't be shy, critiques are given to photographs and not photographers.
We and many other members will be more than pleased to help you out; after all, we all are in love with photography. Don't skip participating in the newest challenge published by Tersha on another photography classic, Reflection Portrait! Please remember to join our friendly photography community if you haven't done it already!
