Shirin Abedi wurde 1996 in Teheran geboren und kam im Alter von sechs Jahren mit ihrer Familie nach Deutschland. Bereits als Jugendliche interessierte sie sich für den Fotojournalismus und machte mit 15 Jahren einen ersten Fotokurs.
