Wer war der Schneeflockenfotograf Wilson Bentley?

Wilson Alwyn Bentley wurde 1865 als Farmerssohn im Dorf Jericho in Vermont, USA geboren. Er würde sein Leben lang Farmer bleiben – aber auch der vermeintlich erste Mensch sein, der Schneeflocken fotografierte. Und ein besessener Hobbymeteorologe, der über Jahrzehnte ganz für sich wichtige Grundlagen der späteren Wolkenphysik zusammentrug.
